WEEKLY WISHES #8
Welp, it’s been almost 2 months since I saddled up and did a Weekly Wishes post. (Yikes!) January was my busiest month everrr – I’ve regularly done a of design and marketing work for two big clients that both like to have their projects culminate at the end of January/ early February. Most all of it is behind me now (just tying up loose strings), so now I can finally feel like I can come up for air.
So I skipped the first 5 (maybe 6) weeks of the Weekly Wishes link up in 2015 because I feel like every week the goals would have consisted of things like “eat” or “sleep” or “don’t die.” Not very inspiring or interesting. Just one of those times when you’re so freaking busy that eating lunch seems like an accomplishment.
So now that I am back to the realm of the living, here we are with Weekly Wishes #8.
I’m going start fresh with three goals this week.
1. Pack and ship ALL THE CARDS. I have loads and loads of inventory waiting to be prepped. I can’t not think of this part in Mrs. Doubtfire whenever I talk about boxing and shipping inventory.
2. Research some conferences/summits/events to attend in 2015. I really want to attend some professional events this year and it seems by the time I hear about a good one, it’s either happening right then and I’m missing it, or tickets are already sold out. If anyone has a good resource for a database or list of professional development conferences in the marking/creative/design fields, I would love to hear about it! I just need to plan ahead and be sure I don’t miss out. This requires forethought and research!
3. Get some Valentine’s plans in order. Matt and I usually favor treating ourselves to a little trip instead of getting each other gifts. Maybe not everyone’s idea of a romantic V-day, but I love nothing more than cuddling with the laptop, hunting through expedia deals together and finding somewhere new and exciting to travel.
P.S. It’s not too late to order Valentine’s cards for your lovahhh! Or Grandma or whatever. Available on Etsy and Amazon (free two-day shipping with prime!)
What are your goals for this week?
