PIKE’S PEAK ADVENTURE – Colorado Rockies
Happy Wednesday!
I finally feel like I’m back to business as usual after a couple of hectic weeks. Matt and I just got back home after our Thanksgiving celebrations with my family in Canada. (A perk of a Can-Am relationship: two Thanksgivings every year! I will never say no to that.) As always, I have a great time with my folks and my extended family. I am truly thankful for all the wonderful people that share my bloodline.
Just a couple of days before we made the trek up North, we retuned home from a trip out to Colorado with friends. Kind of a rustic/mountain man/enjoy the silence of the mountains/refuel kind of vacation. And refuel we did. Colorado is really beautiful! I thought I’d share some pictures on the blog if you’d like to see.
Horse crossing – a real hazard!
I am really excited to get back to Colorado. I have a love-hate relationship with the relaxing getaway. It feels SO good to laze around and recharge, but part of me is always in that sort of adventure mode. “You’re missing it! There is so much to see and do and you’re missing it all!” I think next time we go, we’ll venture further west, I reckon. (I can’t pull off saying “reckon” in real life so you’ll have to suffer through it here.) More in the Aspen area. Get me to those mountains! I’m not much of a skier but can enjoy the heck out of a chalet.
Do you have any fave spots in Colorado that are must-sees?
